Fall break has begun, we don't have plans to travel but we have a few fun things planned around town. Of course there will be lots of time at the park. Miles brought his hammock out to the park and Caroline (our resident knot expert) helped him put it up. As soon as it was up Miles refused to let anyone else have a turn.
Ordinarily that would cause a problem but Caroline just grabbed Natalie and said, "come on, let's go build our own hammock." This contraption took awhile to perfect but Caroline built it all by herself with rope and a blanket (while Natalie helpfully watched). Then she and Natalie took turns playing on it.
Miles could see the fun from his hammock and I could tell he wanted to join in but he had painted himself into a corner. I told him to go tell them they could have a turn in his after all and maybe they would let him have a turn in theirs. He stubbornly refused but did offer to let Bridget share his hammock.
It did't go so well....
