The long awaited, postponed swim meet finally arrived. Caroline and Miles didn't do as much workout swimming during the two weeks between meets as they had been, so we weren't sure how it would go. It was a much bigger meet than they are used to, so the whole way there I explained to them how they were going to come home with no awards but it would be great to get a best time. Turns out they both got a medal in breaststroke. I'm not sure if they were more excited to earn a medal or prove me wrong. Another mothering fail... can I least get extra credit for sitting so long in the heat?
